How to Move Your Washing Machine

!±8± How to Move Your Washing Machine

The majority of households and businesses these days use washing machines as an every day appliance. One of the hardest things a person can experience is moving around a washing machine; they can be a very stubborn piece of equipment to budge. So we shall now take a look at the easiest process of getting a washing machine transported from one place to another.

First and foremost, you should first make sure that you unplug the washing machine from the mains electricity, so that you do not have any electric running through the system. You should then proceed to disconnecting all of the hoses. Once that is complete, you should then dry them off and place them into a plastic bag; once you have done this you should carefully slide them into the drum of the machine so that they do not go missing.

Before proceeding to move the machine, you should firstly empty out all of its water contents; there is always at least a litre of water left in the machine at any one time. So to perform this task, you should tilt the machine forwards, or if you have a more modern form of machine then you should have a plug and pull feature.

If you are using a vehicle to transport the item then you should carefully place down some towels so that if any water leaks, it will not spoil the fabrics. The best way to carry and place a machine in the car is too keep it in an upright position; if the machine will not fit into your vehicle this way, then you should place it on its back, but be very careful as the water may leak onto electrical parts, potentially causing a lot of damage.

Once you have finally got the machine to where you want it to be, you should carefully place everything back together. Including the hoses and the electricity mains, once you have this running for the first time, you should carefully keep an eye on the machine as if a hose is not connected correctly, the whole kitchen could flood.

Moving a machine may seem like an awkward task, but I can assure you if you take the necessary steps, then it will be no harder then a stroll in the park on a nice summer's day. Always remember to get help when lifting a machine as you do not want it to cause damage to your back.
